Magnetic Bay was founded to market StampWorks, an integrated philatelic software package designed by a stamp collector for stamp collectors. StampWorks won a Bronze medal at Mevifil 97 in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Version 1.0), and a Silver-bronze medal at Lorca 98 in Spain (Version 1.1). At the time of the shows, the user needed to enter his own inventory. While this is still a major feature of StampWorks, Magnetic Bay now has databases for several countries available.

Each database comes with a complete album generated for 8.5x11 paper. Since we have measured every stamp, the user can generate and edit their own pages, including the addition of images of their actual stamps.
