In the 1900 census, Clara states that she never had children.

She came to America with her parents in 1848. Early years spent in Cincinnati,
later to Winchester, Ohio, later to Cadiz, OH. They came to Iowa
in 1866, near Rossville.
1900 Census has her coming to America in 1842
1880 Census lists her age as 35, making her born in 1845.
1860 she is living with her mother, who remarried William Hamilton, in Cadiz, Ohio.
In 1850 they were living in Kenton KY, just south of Cincinnati.
Birth records suggest she may have been born in Newington, Surrey,
England April-June 1843, and named Ellen Clara Hall
