In the name of God amen I Richard McCoy of the county of Montgomery in the State of Virginia being in sound memory calling to mind the mortality of my body and the time it is appointed for all men once to die. I do make and ordained this my last will and testament and principally and first of all recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent christianlike manner at the discretion of my of my executors making. Doubting but I shall receive the same again by the Mighty power of God and as touching such mortality estate wherewith it has pleased God in his mercy to bless me with. First I deves that that as much of my stock be sold and my just debts to be paid then secondly I give to my beloved wife Susanna all that shall be left of my stock or moveables during her life and at her Death. I give then to all my daughters a equal part of the cattle and moveables as they become of age and I also give to my son William and my son George a equal part of my land and horses when they both become of age and I constitute and ordain Suanny McCoy my wife and my son William executors of this my last will and testament and I disannul all others ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament I witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of October 1792;
