William Rush moved from New Jersey to Turkeyfoot Township, PA. in 1770. Helped found the Jersey Baptist Church, 1775.
This William is supposedly a close relative of Dr. Benjamin Rush who signed the Declaration of Independence. "Tradition says, an uncle."
Was called a "renegade" by one writer.
